Haven't posted much myself lately and with all these fancy particle kinds of
things being done I couldn't resist any longer. Maybe think of this thing
as a macro particle... or whatever. :-)
A few renders posted at p.b.i. recently, if you don't already know.
Note: This was rendered with the beta 8 of 3.5 and I had a problem with the
radial pattern used for the shutters. To animate I needed a radial texture
map using the original radial pigment pattern in that. Somehow it shifted
in an unpredictable way, I never did get it aligned the same as the
nonanimated version was. It's fairly straightforward were it not for that.
The radial pattern is simply a segment applied to the final radial and
rotated then translated into place. I can see no reasoning for the shift in
y direction I had to use in order to compensate for the change. If I can
I'll come up with example to post in p.b-t.
